This policy explains how the Closeleaf website and report builder (“Closeleaf”, “we”) handle information. Short version: the files you import and the reports you make stay in your browser. We don't receive them.
Financial data you import
Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet files you choose are read by code running in your web browser. Their contents, the figures, your commentary, client names, your firm details and logo are stored only in your browser's storage (IndexedDB) on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. PDFs are created inside your browser and saved to your device. Backup files you export are saved to your device.
Because the data lives in your browser, clearing browser data, using a private window, or switching browser or device means it won't be there. Use “Export backup” to keep a copy, and store backups as carefully as any other client financial records. You can delete everything at any time with “Delete all data” on the Backup & data tab, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
What this website collects
Closeleaf is a static website with no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking scripts. Pages don't load scripts, fonts or other resources from third-party servers, and the report builder makes no network requests other than loading this website's own files. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages), processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages in order to deliver and protect the website. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. Please don't send client financial files by email.
Payments
There are currently no paid features and we don't collect any payment information. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any purchase is possible.
Children
Closeleaf is a business tool and is not directed at children.

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
